Half Way There
When I was young (when ever that was), I heard a story about a man who took the challenge to swim across the English channel to France. Half way across he turned around and went back. When asked what happened, he said that he got too tired to finish so he dropped out and went back.
In our New Testament reading challenge, we are halfway to the finish line. In life, at times we become discouraged, distracted, and even quit because we lose faith and confidence so we quit (turn back).
It is my prayer that we will all succeed in this very important journey. The Bible is our spiritual food given by God. God wants us to "be strong".
Congratulations to all who are participating. If you are a little behind You can gently, daily increase how much you read to catch up. (or extend from 30 days to what you need to finish).
The Full Armor of God Ephesians 6:10-18
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
